ASTM A888/CISPI301 Hubless Cast Iron Soil Pipe Fittings

The materials, dimensions and tolerances of our non-hub cast iron pipes and fittings are standard iron sanitary and rainwater discharge, sanitary waste and ventilation duct applications. Cast iron soil pipes and fittings are mainly used in building structures, for sanitation and rainwater drainage, waste and ventilation pipe applications. The product is installed in residential buildings, hospitals, schools, and commercial and industrial structures. Therefore, the transportation and sales methods of cast iron soil pipes are directly related to the methods of construction activities.

Cast iron is the main pipe material used for sanitary and rainwater drainage, waste and vent applications. It has been used in these applications for hundreds of years and is used in non-pressure applications where the temperature does not exceed 212°F.

It is currently the most durable DWV piping system and can be used in all types of construction. It has high compressive strength, is non-flammable, and has excellent sound insulation properties.

There are two main types of cast iron soil pipes and fittings: hubs and casings and no hubs. Hubless pipes and fittings are also called hubless in the plumbing industry.

Cast iron mud pipes and joints without hubs, instead of hubs, are manufactured in accordance with CISPI 301. Pipes and pipe fittings are added using metal shielding and hubless connections, which are manufactured into CISPI 310, which is a telescope that slides on the ends of pipes and pipes and tightened to seal Connector.

There is only one type of hubless cast iron soil pipe and fittings, and the wall thickness varies according to the size. The configuration of fittings is varied, and the sizes of pipes and fittings range from 1 1/2" to 15". The member companies of the Cast Iron Soil Pipe Research Institute can also provide metal shield joints for connecting hubless pipes and fittings.

Hubs and plug tubes and fittings have hubs, and the sockets (common ends) of the tubes or fittings are inserted into them. The joints are sealed with thermosetting elastic gaskets or lead and rubber.
